From c0065eb1d06b88a6189aa7f062e53ce85af459e0 Mon Sep 17 00:00:00 2001 From: "Amir E. Aharoni" Date: Sat, 13 Sep 2025 14:21:57 -0400 Subject: [PATCH] Fix some language names * arz: The name "Arabic (Egypt)" looks more like a local variant of Standard Arabic for Egypt, but arz is actually a different language and not Standard Arabic. * skr-arab: Saraiki is always written in the Arabic script. It uses the code "skr-arab" on translatewiki for historical and technical reasons, and some day it may actually move to just "skr". There is no reason to mention "(Arabic)" in parentheses. --- config/locales/en.yml | 4 ++-- 1 file changed, 2 insertions(+), 2 deletions(-) diff --git a/config/locales/en.yml b/config/locales/en.yml index 4686900dc..ed5e646a6 100644 --- a/config/locales/en.yml +++ b/config/locales/en.yml @@ -1846,9 +1846,9 @@ en: yi: Yiddish he: Hebrew ar: Arabic - skr-arab: Saraiki (Arabic script) + skr-arab: Saraiki fa: Persian - arz: Arabic (Egypt) + arz: Egyptian Arabic pnb: Western Punjabi ps: Pashto nqo: N’Ko -- 2.39.5
